TEGO® Antifoam 2291 is a self-emulsifying APEO- free organic antifoam concentrate. The product is absolute free of silicone and does not contain any silica.
TEGO® Antifoam 2291 destroys foam or prevents foam formation reliably in aqueous media and may be used for foam control in a variety of industrial applications, even there where the use of silicone and silica is not accepted.
• Process aid for water-based polymerization of dispersions, thermoplastics and elastomers (e. g. de-monomerisation of SBR or NBR emulsions, handling of acrylates)
• In formulation and application of polymer dispersions/ latices (e. g. adhesives based on acrylates or PVAc, paper coatings or others)
• In underwater granulation of additive masterbatches or compounds
• Processing of latex dipped goods
• In the cold and hot wash process in plastic recycling, even in alkaline surroundings
